Giant’s Causeway

Some landmarks are created by nature. Others are man. All are amazing!

The Giant’s Causeway in Northen Iteland attracts thousands of visitors every year. The 40,000 rock columns leading out into the sea are an unusual sight.

But how did the columns appear?

Scientists believe they were formed after a volcano erupted. There is a famous legend, however, that says the columns are the remains of a pathway built by a giant called Finn MacCool!
