Apollo 13

Author: Ron Williams
Summary:

This book is about a trip to the Moon, named Apollo 13. The astronauts of that trip were Jim Lovell, Fred Haise and Ken Mattingly. Jim’s son wanted his father to bring him a moon rock and he wanted his father to be the first man who walks on the Moon after Neil Armstrong. All the things were ready, but when one mechanic got the measles, they found out that Ken hadn’t got the measles when he was child, so he couldn’t go. His place took Jack Swigert. They flew into the Space, but the things didn’t go as they were expecting. Sometime, oxygen flew out of the rocket and into the Space. After that, they couldn’t stay at the command module which didn’t have any oxygen, so they went into the lunar module. They could survive into it and return back to Earth, but it was made for small trips and oxygen couldn’t last much. So, they couldn’t go to the moon, because they could not return back to Earth. They had to return as quickly as they could. It was a big and difficult trip, but finally, they returned back and they were very happy.
