The capital of Lesvos is Mytilene. Lesvos is the 3rd largest island in Greece. Mytilene is a seaside city. The population of Mytilene is 30.000 without the people who come to the country last year. The visitors can see a lot of museum such as the museum of the Theofilos, who was a famous painter and the archeological museum of Mytilene where you can see many archeological findings. Also the visitors can visit the ancient castle which was built to protect people from the pirates.
