Summary:
In the early 19th century, Jean Valjean had just been released from a 19-year imprisonment. He had no food, no home, no money and no one wanted him. Some years later, he had transformed into Monsieur Madeleine, a rich glass-making factored who helped a poor woman whose daughter was running the risk of dying. Unfortunately, when the young mother learned about his real identity, she died and he got arrested once more, but he escaped.
One day, he travelled to the men who had the little girl and he took it. A few years later, she met a boy and felt in love with him. That boy’s neighbours were unkind men and took advantage of him, but they were also the men who had saved his father’s life in Waterloo. Then, they got arrested and it was found that they were the previous owners of that girl. At the end, the girl and the boy were married and Valjean revealed them his real identity. Unfortunately, some months later, Valjean died.
