What is this book about?
The title of this book is “Hawking. The man, the genius and the Theory of everything” by Joel Levy, who is a journalist and writer, specialising in history and science. Very popular books of Joel Levy are “Newton’s Notebook”, “Great Scientists”, “Lost Histories”, “Boost your brain” and others.
This book is about life and career of the Stephen William Hawking. He was born in England in 1942. As he was young, he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, but nothing could stop him to live an interesting life, to have a family with three children, to study and visit other countries for conferences. He was a genius, sometimes they called him Einstein. He was the creator of the Theory of Everything and he won many awards for his work. His disease gradually paralysed him and in the end, he lost his speech, so he had to use some special equipment for helping him to move and communicate with others. He died in 2018, at the age of 76, after living with motor neurone disease for more than 50 years.
