Greece’s national sport

The national sport in Greece is football. It is played in the field. The equipment you need is a uniform, knee pads and soccer shoes for each player.
The rules are not very easy. If you do a hard marking or you pull a shirt, then it is charged a foul. If the marking is very hard, then you get a yellow or a red card. When you get the ball but you are behind the last defender, then you are offside. When a player does a foul or he touches the ball with his hand in the large area, then you have done a penalty.
Football has roots from Ancient Greece, when they were kicking a ball. Phaininda and episkyros were Greek ball games.
